Has
abundant branches, with leaves opposite petiolated, triangular and jagged, with white flowers that appear after the rains. His name is also cihuapahtli or grass of the Paridae, Hoja Santa.
Its traditional use
has
been to encourage childbirth and even to
abortion
, since it increases the strength of
uterine
contractions, so it also helps prevent post -
partum
haemorrhage. Some pharmacological studies suggest that changes in the levels of progesterone so I could be
a
contraceptive.
