Other Names:

White bell, Carricillo, spinning, Soga Tree, Monte Sigh, Yedra Campanilla.

Habitat: very common in hedges and borders of Europe and America.

Description: perennial climbing plant, the family of the Convolvuláceas, who shoots up to 2. 5 meters long. Its leaves are ACORAZONADO, and the flowers, large and pure white. Very similar to correhuela lower.

Parts used: root and leaves.

Properties and indications: in all parts of the plant, and especially in the root, and there was a glucósido resinous tannin (the convolvulina) similar in chemical composition and its properties which is obtained from the root of Jalapa. It has laxative properties, and also colagogas colerética. As a laxative, serving strongly, but without causing irritation and vomiting. Indicated in acute constipation.
