Composition.

The drug is the sapwood (bark without suber)

The sapwood has a different tune the chemistry of the inflorescences, which are also active.

• phenolic acids.

• Flavonoids: specifically tilirósido.

• Coumarin: esculósido and fraxósido.

• A bitter principle: the tiliadina.

• Carbohydrates: rhamnose, fructose and galactose.

• Tannins.

Properties.

• antispasmodic, at the level of the gall bladder and intestine, bile flow regulator, hypotensive and coronary vasodilator and diuretic.

• Dyspepsia espasmódicas.

• Liver disorders.

• biliary dyskinesia.
