Active Principles.

Polyphenolic compounds derived from pirocatecol: urushiol, ureshenol. Flavonoid derivatives kenferol, miricitrósido, Querceta. Abundant tannins (more than 25%)

Drug Action.

In topical use: rubefaciente, analgesic.

Indications.

Osteoarticular inflammation, myalgia, muscle contractures, neuralgia.

Contraindications.

Do not apply on affected areas of skin.

Side Effects.

The latex of the fresh plant produces contact dermatitis.

Caution / Poisoning.

Do not use via internal dose and weight: the ingestion of leaves or fruit box triggers a toxic gastroenteritis and can cause death by respiratory collapse.

Galenica forms / Dosage.

Linimiento, oleate, applied in the form of massage.
