principles: acid estictínico (next to the structure of acid Cetraro) mucilages.
Drug Action.
A
bitter
principles are attributed aperitive his action, eupéptica, and anti colagoga, bacteriostatic and antifungal. For the mucilages, although present in small quantities,
a
demulcent and balsamic.
Has
been used since ancient times to combat bronchial
problems
, according to the theory of the symbol.
Indications.
Bronchial ailments:
Flu
, colds, laryngitis,
pharyngitis
,
bronchitis
.
Anorexia
,
gastroenteritis
,
dyspepsia
hiposecretoras, dyskinesias
liver
and gall
bladder
, gastric ulcers (see side effects)
Externally:
abscesses, wounds and burns.
Side Effects.
The principles
bitter
induce an increase in the secretion cloropéptica, so when prescribed for the treatment of gastric ulcers, we recommend association with drug demulcent, as the root of
marshmallow
.
Galenica forms / Dosage.
Infusion:
one tablespoon per cup of dessert. Three cups
a
day.
