Condition of the eyelid (usually lower) who returns to the interior of the eye.

It affects adults over 40 years.

Diagnosis and Treatment.

DIAGNOSIS:

History and physical examination by a doctor.

Laboratory tests, such as audiometry and caloric test.

Your doctor may place a strip of tape on the lower eyelid as a temporary measure before surgery.

General Measures.

Apply warm compresses to the eyelids several times a day to alleviate inflammation and discomfort.

To prepare towels:

Put warm water in a clean container.

Dip a clean cloth.

Wring until almost dry.

Apply the cloth, warm and humid, the eye closed for 10 to 15 minutes.

Drain and soak the cloth frequently.

Wear safety goggles if they are exposed to the wind or flawed environments.

Medication.

Your doctor may prescribe:

Artificial tears until the surgery.

Antibiotics if an infection exists.

Activity.

Without restrictions.

Avoid getting air into the affected eye.

Diet.

Several factors can cause entropion:
