English: Bindweed.

French: des LISERON haies.

From the family of Convolvuláceas.

Purgative. Stimulating the bile. Tonic for digestion.

Description: perennial climbing plant, the family of the Convolvuláceas, who shoots up to 2. 5 meters long. Its leaves are ACORAZONADO, and the flowers, large and pure white. Very similar to correhuela higher.

The entire plant.

Active Principles.

Gum resin (10%) dalapina; traces of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponosides, caféico acid, tannin (7% in the leaves)

Drug Action.

The resin has an action - lax laxative similar to that of Jalapa, but softer; alkaloids give it an action of glaucoma and coronary vasodilator, the flavonoids, a colagoga. In topical use is used as a healing.

Indications.

Occasional constipation, hepatobiliary dyskinesia, hypertension, coronary heart disease. Was used as a laxative in anthelmintic treatments.

Contraindications.

Pregnancy, infancy, children.

Heterósidos cardiac treatment.

Caution / Poisoning.

Do not take more than three consecutive days. Do not exceed the dose indicated: megadoses can cause gastroenteritis.

Galenica forms / Dosage.

Infusion: 5 to 10 grams per liter, three cups a day before meals. As a laxative, to 3%, a cup fasting.

Resin: 0. 5 to 1 gram per day.

Dust: 1 to 2 g / day.
