Active Principles.

Essential oil (0. 5 - 1%) estragole or methyl - cavicol (60 - 70%) terpenes (15 to 20%) ocimene, phellandrene; heterósidos coumarin (herniarina)

Drug Action.

Appetizer, eupéptico, Carmine, spasmolytic, estrogen, diuretic, antiseptic, anthelmintic.

Indications.

Inappetence, dyspepsia hiposecretoras, meteorism, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, rheumatism, intestinal parasitosis.

Contraindications.

Assess the appropriateness of its administration (particularly in the case of essential oil) depending on their estrogenic action.

Caution / Poisoning.

Caution when prescribing the essential oil: allergic reactions occur. Do not exceed the dose indicated: it can be exciting central nervous system and cause gastrointestinal irritation.

Galenica forms / Dosage.

Infusion: one teaspoon per cup of coffee. Infuse 10 minutes. Three cups a day.

Essential oil: 1 to 3 drops on a sugar cube, or in capsules (25 to 50 mg / CAPS) one to three times a day.
