The roots.

Active Principles.

Sucrose (15 - 20%) Pigments, mainly betaine. Hill, glutamine. Vitamins A, B, C. Mineral salts. Saponósidos. Phytoestrogens.

Drug Action.

Remineralizing, vitamin. The use of beet is essential to obtain sucrose, sweetener and excipient syrups, tablets and other forms Galenical. It also presents a hepatoprotective action and lipid lowering, similar to the alcachofera. Vasoprotectives capilarotropo.

Indications.

Hepatitis, cirrhosis, gallbladder disease, prevention of arteriosclerosis. Anemia, fatigue, convalescence. Capillary fragility.

Contraindications.

Oxalic lithiasis. Hiperestrogenias. Hypothyroidism (see precautions)

Caution / Poisoning.

Beet contains glucosinolates. Although it has not been described as a side effect of beet, many over glucosinolate man carrying an antithyroid, inducing goitre. We suggest not prescribe lengthy treatments.

Galenica forms / Dosage.

Use a food.

Fresh Juice: a 100 ml or more times a day.
