Active Principles.
Saponósidos triterpenic; mucílagos; flavonoids:
licked; acids fenolcarboxilílicos: rosmarínico. Glucoside iridoide: lamalbósido. Tannins Catechists (5 - 10%) traces of
essential
oil; betaine (estaquidrina)
Drug Action.
Expectorant, anti - inflammatory and antihypertensive by saponosides; diuretic, by the action of flavonoids. Tonic, antiseptic and astringent hemostatic slightly, by the tannins and phenols. Demulcent, by the action of the mucilages.

Flu

, in adjuvant treatments in which requires an increase of diuresis (
overweight
, due to insufficient venous edema, hyperuricemia, oliguria, gout) Popularly used in the treatment of metrorrhagia, dismenorreas as depurative "lowering the blood, " and anti - hypoglycemic, and externally at: eczema, ichthyosis, escoceduras, abrasions and skin irritations,
hyperhidrosis
, vulvovaginitis,
hemorrhoids

Contraindications.
Do not prescribe oral dosage forms with
alcohol
content to
children

Caution / Poisoning.
Take into account the
alcohol
content of the fluid extract and tincture.
Galenica forms / Dosage.
Internal use:
Infusion:
5 grams per cup (30 g / l) infuse 10 minutes. Two or three cups
a
day, after meals.
Fluid extract (1:
1) 25 to 30 drops, two or three times
a
day.
Tincture (1:
10) 50 - 100 drops, one to three times
a
day.
Syrup (5% or 40% of extract dye)
A
soup spoon, one to three times
a
day.
Dry extract (5:
1) 0. 3 to 1 g / day.
External use:
Decoction:
50 g / l, boil 10 minutes. Apply in the form of towels, lotions, baths,
vaginal
washes, mouthwashes gargarismos.
Glycolic extract or tincture, in the form of lotions, creams or gels.
