chenopodium ambrosioides
Herbaceous plant that measured up to 1 m in height. It has branched stems and leaves oblong with curved edges and irregular. Its flowers are borne in clusters and give rise to black seeds. It is grown in the houses and is well suited to warm climates, semi dry and mild. Grows associated with the tropical deciduous forest, subcaducifolia, evergreen, subperennifolia, Xeric scrublands, mountain cloud forests of oak and mixed pine.

Its use: It is a plant used in most of the country to treat various stomach pains, cramps and intestinal parasites, for it takes the infusion of leaves with water or milk on an empty stomach. It is also used in other ailments such as diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, weight loss and inappetence. It relieves some disorders such as menstrual cramps, and late period of low fluid, which is used alone or with rue, and with other herbs such as zoapatle hair and corn. On the other hand, is recommended for sterility and increasing the amount of milk in breast - feeding. It is said to be effective against the bite of poisonous insects and warts, or crushed by the poultice to snuff.
