From the family of Umbelíferas.

Toning of the digestive tract. Carminative. It causes the urine and promotes lactation. Powerful antiseptic.

Active Principles.

Essential oil (3 - 4%) carvone, limonene, phellandrene, eugenol, anethole, carveol, Caryophyllene; miristicina, cumarinas (escopoletina, esculetina, bergapteno, umbeliferona) Kenferol flavonoid derivatives. Phenolic acids: caféico, chlorogenic: Fatty Acids (10 - 20%) phytosterols: b - sitosterol.

Drug Action.

Digestive, Carmine, diuretic, spasmolytic, galactógeno, flavoring.

Indications.

Dyspepsia, meteorism, gastrointestinal spasms, breast - feeding. Cleaning and disinfection of wounds, burns and skin ulcers.

Contraindications.

Unless otherwise indicated, we recommend not to prescribe essential oils through internal during pregnancy, lactation, children under six years or patients with gastritis, gastric ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, hepatopathy, epilepsy, Parkinson and other neurological diseases.

Side Effects.

The essential oil of dill cause Phytophotodermatitis (furanocumarinas)

Caution / Poisoning.

The essential oil in high doses is convulsive.

Galenica forms / Dosage.

Infusion: one teaspoon per cup of coffee.

Distilled water dill: 50 to 100 g / day.
