From the family of Umbelíferas.

Activates the function of the heart, regulate the flow. Activates the function of the kidneys. Fluid retention. Delay and disruption of menstruation.

The root, occasionally seeds.

Active Principles.

Essential oil (0. 5 - 1%) Alquilftálidos (70%) responsible for its aroma, alpha - and beta - pinene, alpha - and gamma - terpineno, alpha - and beta - phellandrene, canfeno, pentaciclohexadieno, mirceno; cumarinas: Umbeliferona, psoralen, bergapteno. beta - sitosterol; acids splints, caféico, and Benzoic isovalérico; poliacetileno: falcarindiol.

Drug Action.

Diuretic: stimulates especially the elimination of chlorine and nitrogen. Aperitif, digestive, sialagogo, Carmine, mild tranquilizer, spasmolytic, emenagogo.

Indications.

States that require an increase in urine output: genitourinary disorders (cystitis, ureteritis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, oliguria, urolithiasis) hiperazotemia, hyperuricemia, gout, high blood pressure, edema, overweight accompanied by fluid retention.

Inappetence, meteorism, gastrointestinal spasms. Amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, hemicránea.
