Active Principles.
Essential
oil (0. 5 - 1%) Alquilftálidos (70%) responsible for its aroma, alpha - and beta - pinene, alpha - and gamma - terpineno, alpha - and beta - phellandrene, canfeno, pentaciclohexadieno, mirceno; cumarinas: Umbeliferona, psoralen, bergapteno. beta - sitosterol; acids splints, caféico, and Benzoic isovalérico; poliacetileno: falcarindiol.
Drug Action.
Diuretic:
stimulates especially the elimination of
chlorine
and nitrogen. Aperitif, digestive, sialagogo,
Carmine
, mild tranquilizer, spasmolytic, emenagogo.
Indications.
States that require an increase in urine output:
genitourinary
disorders
(
cystitis
, ureteritis,
urethritis
,
pyelonephritis
, oliguria, urolithiasis) hiperazotemia, hyperuricemia, gout, high blood pressure, edema,
overweight
accompanied by fluid retention.
Inappetence, meteorism,
gastrointestinal
spasms.
Amenorrhea
,
dysmenorrhea
, hemicránea.
Contraindications.
Renal failure
