The flowering tops, leaves.

Active Principles.

Essential oil - rich Pulegone. Flavonoid derivatives apigenol and luteolol. Phenolic acids: caféico, rosmarínico.

Drug Action.

The essential oil is responsible for the effects: an aperitif, digestive, colagogo, spasmolytic, expectorant, antiseptic, and antifungal anthelmintic. The phenolic acids and flavonoids strengthen the antiseptic action, and the latter gives it also a diuretic action.

Indications.

Inappetence, dyspepsia hiposecretoras, dyskinesias Hepatobiliary, meteorism, diarrhea, gastralgias, gastrointestinal spasms, intestinal parasitosis. Respiratory ailments: influenza, colds. Cystitis, urethritis.

In external use: dermatitis, boils, skin infections, dermatomycosis, vulvovaginitis, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, ear infections, sinusitis, osteo inflammations, stomatitis, bruises, sprains, bruises, burns.

For its pleasant taste is widely used as a corrective organoleptic.

Contraindications.

Unless otherwise indicated, we recommend not to prescribe essential oils through internal during pregnancy, lactation, children under six years or patients with gastritis, gastric ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, hepatopathy, epilepsy, Parkinson and other neurological diseases.

Do not administer, or topically applied to children under six years old or people with respiratory allergies or with known hypersensitivity to this or other essential oils.

Do not prescribe oral dosage forms with alcohol content to children under two years or consultants in the process of alcohol addiction.

Caution / Poisoning.

Take into account the alcohol content of the fluid extract and tincture.

Galenica forms / Dosage.

Infusion: one teaspoon per cup dessert. Three cups a day, before or after meals.

Essential oil: 1 - 2 drops, one to three times a day.

Fluid extract (1: 1) 30 - 50 drops, one to three times a day.

Tincture (1: 10) 50 - 100 drops, one to three times a day.
