Active Principles.

Tannins (6 - 8%) and gálicos elágicos. Flavonoids, salicylic acid, phytosterol, saponosides, palmitic and stearic acid.

Drug Action.

The astringent tannins produce an effect (antidiarrheal hemostatic, healing - reepitelizante) and bactericidal; salicylic acid, antipyretic and analgesic. It is also diuretic and healing.
